Neil has been a member of Up Holland & District u3a since 2009 and a member of Wigan u3a since its formation in 2018. In the past he has been the trustee for the North West of England and a director of the Third Age Trust Trading Limited. He was also a member of the North West Region of u3as Executive Committee for 12 years and regularly co-organised the annual Summer School.
