Our recent visit was a huge success. Although we were a small group compared with the size they normally host we were nevertheless made warmly welcome.

The owner, Matthew, was very enthusiastic and told us something of his history and that of his tulip centre. He is actually an Ainsdale lad who began gardening at the age of three. He gave us a fascinating account of the present state of gardening including the top flower shows where he exhibits. He specialises in tulips (there were over 70 varieties on show) and Zantedeschia.

The visit ended with tea and coffee and yummy cake which Matthew had baked himself the previous evening. So all-in-all a great day out.
