The trip will be with Skelmersdale u3a, and the cost of the coach is just £17 per person.

We will have our customary three Southport pick-up points:

• Churchtown
• Eastbank Street, town centre
• Birkdale – Weld Parade

We expect to start the pick-ups at around 09.45 am, arriving in Llandudno at approximately 12.15pm. We’ll leave Llandudno at around 5.00 pm and expect to be back in Southport at approximately 7.15 pm. On the return journey, we’ll also make a couple of additional drop-off stops as we travel through Southport.

What’s happening in Llandudno?

The Christmas Extravaganza takes over the town centre with a lovely mixture of Christmas market stalls, food and drink, entertainment and festive activities.

You can expect craft and gift stalls, artisan food producers, Christmas decorations and stocking fillers, alongside seasonal street food and warming drinks such as mulled wine and hot chocolate. There will also be live music, choirs, brass bands, street entertainers and fairground attractions, so there should be plenty to see and do during our five hours in Llandudno.

The Extravaganza is mainly an outdoor event, spread through the town-centre streets. However, if the weather isn’t kind to us, there are plenty of cafés, pubs and shops nearby, as well as the Victoria Shopping Centre, so there are lots of opportunities to get warm and dry.

As it is November in North Wales, warm clothes and waterproofs are definitely recommended!

It should be a really enjoyable festive day out and, at £17 per person, excellent value too.
